| Well, all our trash was piled on the trailer, but it needed to be organized better. how dumb, but we couldn't move it with everything on it, so off went the top stuff:

ain't no worry - with enought tie downs, you can move anything. i swear.

we stopped by the scrap yard first and they took the overhead bins becuase they're made of aluminum!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is after we waited for them to all finish their 10:00 am break. some guy wanted the tv's and vcr, too...so whatever. all told, we made $232.00 to put back into the bus. sweet!!! then we went to the sanitary land fill. how they ever came up with that name, i don't know, but it sure stunk. but they had big versions of the tonka trunks i used to play with as a kid, so it's all good. we threw everything else off the trailer in a pile in the dirt. easy enough. that is until you get nasty landfill dirt INSIDE your socks. needless to say, i took a shower asap.
and jon passed his CDL tests!!!!
well, this concludes this week in bus demolition. tune in at the end of next week after we get back. those bolts are gonna get it!

| day 2 -
more demolition today. we took off the tv's and made a cutting edge hi-tech entertainment command center:

we removed the overhead storage shelves. let me just take this time to say that by simply reading the preceeding sentence, you can't fully grasp the chaos involved in removing the said shelves.
because they're made of metal and shelves are strong.

seriously, the longer one had to weigh 500 pounds or something. you know when you have a bunch of people to help carry something and you know it weighs a lot, but it doesn't feel like it because of everyone helping??? well, we had 6 guys and still felt ridiculous...
in other news, josh ripped the wall that separates the bathroom from the rest of the bus and we started working on the back seat and we pulled all the NASTY carpet panels off the wall.
and there was some bloodshed -
Flip -

and Jon -

hmmm....i wonder who won that contest....i chose to stay out of that one.
i'll get updated pics tomorrow of the spaciousness that has developed. you should see our trash pile...
the rest of the bathroom (toilet, water tank, etc.), rear seat, and floor heating ducts are agenda for tomorrow. maybe we can check out the floor, too.
anyhoo.
